John Angus to lead My Name'5 Doddie charity dinner auction


We are pleased to announce that John Angus, ANM’s Head of Livestock, will lead the My Name’5 Doddie charity dinner auction held at Mansfield Hotel in Elgin on Saturday 27th October 2018.

Guests attending the event will have the opportunity to bid on a fantastic range of lots, which were kindly donated by businesses and supporters of the charity.

List of lots:

  • A week’s stay in a picturesque flat overlooking sunny Dunbar Harbour which sleeps 4. Donated by Alex Bryson, plus golf (4 ball) at Dunbar, Archerfield, Kilspindie and Longniddry-all great courses, in the Golf Coast of East Lothian.
  • Donated by Iain Brown of Dipple Farm, a fully fitted holiday cottage in Speyside, sleeping 8, for a week plus exclusive use of a Discovery Sport from Pentland Landrover, Elgin.
  • A Speyside fishing, trip comprising 2 nights’ dinner, bed and breakfast at the Craigellachie Hotel plus a bottle of Copper Dog whisky, plus 2 days fishing for 2 rods on the River Spey at Gordon Castle, plus Baxter’s picnic lunches.
  • North Coast 500 trip- a week-long rental of a 6-berth campervan, supplied by Malcolm and Jo Brown of Moray Firth Camper and Caravan Hire.
  • An experience of a lifetime - Scotland v Wales Mascot plus 2 Centre Stand tickets-must be over 8- to run out with Scotland team in front of a capacity BT Murrayfield, kitted out in Scotland strip and tracksuit. Kindly donated by Chris Paterson and the SRU.
  • Weekend break in Inverness-2 nights Bed and Breakfast at the Kingsmill Hotel and Spa Inverness, donated by Tony Story, plus dinner and drinks at the Mustard Seed restaurant.
  • Gourmet dining-Dinner Party catering by Baxter’s chef in your own home for 8 people plus a limited-edition painting by Ena Baxter.
  • The Last Word - a limited signed edition of Bill McLaren’s match notes on his last ever commentary, Wales v Scotland, won by Scotland in Cardiff 27-22, on 6th April 2002. This has been anonymously donated by a former Scotland rugby internationalist.
  • A Calloway Rogue Driver plus an 18-hole playing lesson from our Elgin Golf Club Professional, Michael McAllan. This club is new to the market and is used by many golf professionals.
  • Cashmere extravaganza- world famous Johnston’s of Elgin have provided a voucher for £1,000 to purchase cashmere products. A wonderful opportunity to arrange early Christmas presents!
  • Join the Distillery Manager for an exclusive tour and tasting of the award-winning Benromach range of Single Malts. This fantastic package includes an in-depth tour of the distillery and tasting of the range, including the 35-year-old as well as two nights Bed and breakfast at the Knockomie Inn and dinner on one of the evenings (Accommodation donated by Gavin & Penny Ellis of the Knockomie Inn).
