Caithness Livestock Centre has witnessed a record entry of over 8,000 store lambs entered into the first sale of Hisha & Non-Hisha NCC Hill & Store Lambs which will take place on Monday 11th August from 10am.
The sale will feature entries from Dunbeath, Bettyhill, Forsinard and North West Sutherland Areas and will include the sale of all classes of store and prime lambs. Entries include 5,000 North Country Cheviots and 3,000 Continental bred lambs.
Scott Chapman, Auctioneer, Aberdeen & Northern Marts said: “A centre record entry of store lambs are set to be sold at the opening sale of the season at Quoybrae, promising a strong start to the busy sale season.”
Online bidding will be available at the sale.
Upcoming sales at Caithness Livestock Centre includes the Show and Sale of 6,000 half bred, North Country Cheviot, Ewe and Store Lambs and sale of Prime Lambs, kindly sponsored by DR Alexander on Monday 18th August. Entries close on Wednesday 13th August at 5pm.
The annual North County Cheviot Ram & Female Sale will take place on Friday the 19th of September and entries close on Monday 11th August at 3pm.
